Divya Aickara, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist with specialized training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery. Growing up in Tampa, Florida, she earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida and her medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine. Dr. Aickara has received several prestigious honors, including induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society, as well as the Outstanding Student Award, Research Distinction, and the American Medical Women’s Association Glasgow-Rubin Achievement Citation.
Dr. Aickara dedicated a year to clinical research focused on wound healing, regenerative medicine, and the innovative use of extracellular vesicles derived from mesenchymal stem cells for dermatologic conditions. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine and Dermatology residency at the University of Miami, where she served as Chief of Surgical and Procedural Dermatologic Curriculum. Following her residency, she pursued a one-year fellowship at Hollywood Dermatology in Fort Lauderdale, FL, gaining expertise in Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery and Mohs Micrographic Surgery.
An active leader in the dermatology community, Dr. Aickara serves on the Membership Committee of the Women’s Dermatologic Society, supporting and empowering women in the field. She is passionate about advancing patient care, particularly in skin cancer treatment, and remains dedicated to dermatologic care through education, research, and patient-centered practice. Outside of work, Dr. Aickara enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and Goldendoodle, Rolex, and loves yoga, cooking, trying new restaurants, and hiking.
