GENTLEMAX (ALEXANDRITE AND ND YAG LASER)

The Candela GentleMax laser creates a beam of high intensity light that penetrates deeply into skin tissue, where it delivers a controlled amount of targeted therapeutic heat. Candela’s patented Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) technology protects the upper layers of your skin with a cooling burst of cryogen. Together, the long pulse laser and DCD or air cooling offer the safest most effective, treatment available.

GentleMax is the gold standard for hair removal on all skin types as well as the treatment of leg veins, pigmented lesions, freckles, age and sun spots. The number of sessions depends on the treatment required and the condition of your skin. For hair removal, multiple treatments are required, as the process is most effective when the hair follicle is in its active growth phase.

V BEAM (PULSE DYE LASER)

The Candela V Beam delivers an intense but gentle burst of light into selectively targeted areas of the skin. The light is absorbed by specific blood vessels or melanin pigmented areas in the dermis depending on the condition being treated. Factors such as the age, color and type of lesions, as well as the location on the body, all determine whether lesions can be removed. The V Beam is an excellent choice when treating rosacea, facial veins, port wine stains, and scars.

FRAXEL® DUAL

We offer the authentic, non invasive Fraxel® Dual laser treatments. Fraxel® technology effectively targets the skin surface for smoother, fresher looking skin.

Fraxel® uses a laser to resurface damaged skin. With this technology, there are now two laser treatment modes: one specifically treats concerns such as wrinkles or acne scarring that are deeper in the skin layers. The second treatment mode is new and effectively targets sun spots, age spots and tone and texture, which are more superficial. These two modes can be combined for optimal results.

Fraxel® is safe and effective on delicate skin areas like the neck, chest and hands, in addition to the face. You can expect two levels of results, immediate and progressive. Immediately after initial healing is complete, the surface of your skin will feel softer, look brighter, and tone will start to become even. Progressive results occur over the next three to six months as the deeper layers of skin continue to heal.

The benefits of Fraxel® include: Smoother, fresher looking skin, improved tone and texture, reduced wrinkles around the eyes, improved appearance of acne scars and surgical scars and reduction of age and sun spots.

WHAT IS “SOCIAL” DOWNTIME?

Downtime is the time spent recovering from a procedure. With “social” downtime, you can continue your normal daily activities. However, you may not wish to attend important social events because your face will appear pink/red for 3-4 days.

HOW DOES THE FRAXEL TREATMENT FEEL?

The Fraxel treatment feels like a series of brief pinches. Topical numbing and a cooling device are used to make the procedure comfortable.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Everyone’s skin is different, but clinical studies suggest that for most people, maximum results are realized in just 3 to 5 sessions spaced 2 to 6 weeks apart.. Make – up may be applied at this time.

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON MY ACTIVITY AFTER A FRAXEL TREATMENT?

After treatment, the skin will look and feel mildly sunburned. You will apply ointment on the skin for 3 – 4 days. You will need to wear protective clothing and limit sun exposure for a few days after the treatment.

CAN FRAXEL BE PART OF A COMBINATION THERAPY TREATMENT?

Yes, patients may choose to have a Fraxel treatment combined with other procedures such as fillers or Botox.

WHO IS A CANDIDATE FOR A FRAXEL TREATMENT?

Patient with skin discoloration and lesions, sun spots, actinic keratosis, and melasma. Fraxel can also be used to help treat  wrinkles around the eyes, acne scars, and surgical scars.

THE PEARL PROCEDURE

A safe, effective treatment for restoring the skin’s natural glow

WHAT IS THE PEARL PROCEDURE?

The Pearl procedure combines the impact of resurfacing lasers with the gentleness and safety of non-invasive procedures to treat aging and sun-damaged skin. Pearl reduces wrinkles, uneven texture and solar damage with fewer treatments and less overall recovery than other technologies to provide a healthy, pearl-like glow.

HOW DOES THE PEARL TREATMENT WORK?

During the procedure, the top layer of skin is treated with pulses of light in a pre-selected pattern. The laser simultaneously sends heat to the deeper layers of skin to provide longer-term benefits. A natural protective dressing forms on the skin to minimize downtime during the restorative process. On day 3 or 4, this natural dressing will peel or slough off, revealing new, healthy, vibrant skin underneath. Depending on the intensity of the procedure you select with your provider this process may take longer.

In a short time, patients will notice overall skin clarity, smoothness and softness – all from a 15 minute treatment with only 3 – 4 days of “social” downtime.

WHAT IS “SOCIAL” DOWNTIME?

Downtime is the time spent recovering from a procedure. With “social” downtime, you can continue your normal daily activities. However, you may not wish to attend important social events because your face will appear pink/red for 3-4 days.

HOW DOES PEARL TREATMENT FEEL?

The Pearl treatment feels like a series of brief pinches. Topical numbing and a cooling device are used to make the procedure comfortable.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS? HOW SOON CAN I WEAR MAKE-UP AFTER A PEARL TREATMENT?

Results are usually noticeable by day 4 when the superficial tissue has peeled off, revealing fresh, bright, healthy skin underneath. Make – up may be applied at this time.

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON MY ACTIVITY AFTER A PEARL TREATMENT?

After treatment, the skin will look and feel mildly sunburned. You will apply ointment on the skin for 3 – 4 days. Since you cannot wear sunscreen during this time, you will need to wear protective clothing and limit sun exposure for a few days after the treatment.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE RECOMMENDED?

Some patients may require two treatments spaced approximately one month apart to achieve the desired results. Other patients may need only one treatment.

CAN PEARL BE PART OF A COMBINATION THERAPY TREATMENT?

Yes, patients may choose to have a Pearl treatment combined with other procedures such as fillers or Botox.

HOW DOES PEARL COMPARE TO OTHER LASER TREATMENTS?

Pearl offers the most effective treatment to address fine lines, uneven texture and discoloration without wound care and the lengthy downtime required with certain Erbium and Co2 laser procedures.

Compared to today’s fractionated technologies, Pearl offers noticeable results in just one treatment versus 4-6 fractional treatments.

WHO IS A CANDIDATE FOR A PEARL TREATMENT?

Patient with light to medium skin tones and mild to moderate sun damage are the ideal candidates.
