Brianna Castillo, MD, FAAD, AACMS

Board Certified Dermatologist, Fellowship Trained and Board Certified in Micrographic Surgery

Dr. Brianna Castillo is a fellowship-trained and board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon. Her focus is on the prevention, early detection, and surgical treatment of skin cancer.

Dr. Castillo received her medical degree from the University of South Florida and completed her transitional residency at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Castillo completed a dermatology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center and then joined the University of Missouri for her dermatology residency.  Dr. Castillo completed her additional training for a Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship at the University of Arizona and is excited to be back in Florida and joining the PHDermatology family.

Dr. Castillo has published several articles in scholarly journals and has presented at conferences for organizations such as the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS), the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), and the Missouri Dermatology Society (MDS). During her fellowships and residencies, Dr. Castillo was an active mentor to other residents and students and was a member of research committees and several lecture series. She has also provided several hours of her time as a volunteer for community organizations such as Skin Deep for Ethiopia, Ybor Youth Clinic, and providing free skin checks at many local events.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, camping, outdoor adventures (with sun protection!), and traveling to experience the world and other cultures. She also loves spending quality time with her husband, family, and Australian shepherd, Penny.
