Monika Holder, PA-C, a native of Sarasota, graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts and Science, majoring in exercise physiology. Inspired by her undergraduate exposure to Medicine, she narrowed her focus to Dermatology. She was selected for a post-graduate internship at Dermatology Associates of Tallahassee and then attended a competitive two-year physician assistant program at South College in Knoxville, TN. Desiring to focus on dermatology and foster preventative medicine in her peers, she conducted her thesis on the sun-protective behaviors and knowledge of skin cancer in the young adult population. She continues this pursuit of high academic achievement and quality care while maintaining an educational focus at DOCs. Monika is a board-certified physician assistant and an active member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
