Dear Patients,
I am writing to let you know that I retired from practice in January of 2024. I want to thank you for allowing me to care for you as your dermatologist over the last five years at PHDermatology. It has been an honor and a privilege. After retirement, I will be returning to Texas to be near my family. More recently I have been seeing patients in the PHDermatology Clearwater office and I want to assure you it will remain open to care for you and your family. Amy Ross, M.D., the founder of Palm Harbor Dermatology, will continue to offer Mohs surgery and other surgical services in the Clearwater office. Dr. Margaret Rinker will be taking over my patch testing services in the SOHO office.
You may receive notification from your insurer that I will no longer be an active provider. Rest assured, all other PHDermatology providers remain active and can continue to see you. Should you wish to obtain a copy of your medical records, you may contact any PHDermatology office to request them at any time.

Dr. Lisa Garner, FAAD, received her Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, in Pharmacy from the University of Houston and her Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Garner completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in dermatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and is board certified in dermatology.
Dr. Garner has worked with many professional dermatology societies including serving as vice-president of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a former president of the Women’s Dermatologic Society, has held multiple leadership positions with the Texas Dermatology Society and supports the Dermatology Foundation philanthropic organization.
After working in a solo private practice in Garland, Texas for many years, Dr. Garner chose to join the PHDermatology group in Florida in order to be closer to the beach. She is always careful to avoid midday sun and protect her skin, but has found the Florida lifestyle in Clearwater to be exactly what she hoped for. In her free time, Dr. Garner loves to travel to exotic and adventurous places.
Dr. Garner has a special interest in allergic contact dermatitis with extensive knowledge and experience in customized patch testing. She is a member of the American Contact Dermatitis Society, the premier organization cultivating advancements in the diagnosis and care of dermatitis. We are very excited to offer this highly specialized service to the Clearwater, FL location.
